I just ran into the same issue on the X710-DA2 NIC on Debian 10 on a HP DL 360 G9 on the latest i40e driver. As soon as I would run accel-cmd show sessions the CPU would stall and the server would require a hard reboot as it would never shut down. I tried one of the suggestions, but slightly altered...
